SpaceX Starbase, located in Boca Chica, Texas, is a spaceport, production, and development facility for Starship rockets. Developed by SpaceX, it serves as an exclusive launch site to accommodate the company's launch manifest and tight launch windows. Initially planned for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launches, it shifted focus in 2018 exclusively to the next-generation Starship vehicle. The facility, under construction since the late 2010s, features significant rocket production and testing capacities. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk envisions Starbase as a departure point for commercial astronauts and eventually for launching missions to Mars.
