Founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, SpaceX aims to reduce space transportation costs and enable Mars colonization. It operates Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets and Dragon and Starship spacecraft. SpaceX has developed Starlink, a satellite internet constellation, and is working on Starship, a fully-reusable, heavy-lift launch system for interplanetary and orbital spaceflight. It was the first private company to reach orbit, send a spacecraft to the ISS, and achieve vertical landing and reuse of an orbital rocket booster.
